Shutter Speed

Shutter speed is the amount of time the shutter is open. This time frame is part of what determines the picture’s exposure and, sometime, its effect. Three things, shutter speed, aperture, and ISO determine the picture’s exposure and brightness. Changing the shutter speed is also a way of creating different picture effects. A fast shutter speed will freeze the action while a slow shutter speed will create a sense of motion and movement.
